Job Description:

Assists with scheduling and supervision of Team Members and day-to-day departmental operations. Oversees Prepared Foods displays. Supports Prepared Foods Team Leader and Associate Team Leader for smooth team operation.

• Supervises Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Delegates tasks and trains Team Members for high-performance team.
• Trains new Team Members using learning checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and rotated.
• Opens and closes department according to procedures.
• Gives necessary breaks.
• Communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters positive team environment and excellent morale.
• Directs Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
• Selects, trains, develops, and motivates Team Members.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
  • Strong knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills.
  • Capable of teaching others positively.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for financial assessment and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated decision-making and leadership skills.
    • 12+ months retail experience.
      • Lifts 50 pounds.
      • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
      • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
      • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
      • Exposed to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Works in wet and dry conditions.
      • Uses tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery.
