Seafood Order Writer Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Seafood Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market - White Plains. As a key member of our seafood department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our seafood products are accurately ordered, replenished, and merchandised to meet customer demand.Key Responsibilities

• Ordering and Replenishment: Replenish seafood products through proper buying procedures, order seafood products, and maintain appropriate back stock levels.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, control spoilage/shrink, and achieve turn goals.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Merchandising: Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Compliance: Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of seafood products, working knowledge and application of all seafood merchandising expectations, and ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
  • Education and Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in a wet and cold environment.Working Conditions
    • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures of 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
