A Brief Overview
The Orthodontic Assistant is responsible for performing detailed
Orthodontic procedures and directly assisting with patient care in
conjunction with the management of surgical treatment. This role
includes preparing for patient hours by setting up rooms, preparing
appliances, stocking instruments and supplies. Clinical
responsibilities include but not limited to accurate acquisition of
2D and 3D X-rays, intra and extraoral photos, detailed charting,
executing precise orthodontic procedures as directed by the
provider and coordination of care between multiple providers.
